Police have charged an 18-year-old woman with multiple firearm related offences following an incident in Toowoomba City yesterday (February 14).
At approximately 2.40pm, a group of people known to each other were at a hotel on Annand Street when a firearm was discharged once.
A 16-year-old Wyreema girl sustained a serious injury to her arm.
She was taken to Brisbane in a stable condition.
A 37-year-old Wyreema woman sustained chest and arm injuries and was transported in a stable condition to Toowoomba Hospital.
Police established a crime scene at the location and an 18-year-old North Toowoomba woman was taken into custody.
She has since been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, wounding, dangerous conduct with a weapon, unlawful possession of weapons (firearm) and authority required to possess explosives.
She is expected to appear at Toowoomba Magistrates Court today (February 15).
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the walkway area between Annand and Ruthven Streets, known as Kwong Sang Walk, between 2.30pm and 2.45pm, and who may have seen any persons acting suspiciously, to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
