The Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a man to hospital, after the all terrain vehicle (ATV) he was driving hit a tree.

The aeromedical chopper was tasked to the Lockyer Valley region around 12.00 this afternoon.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) personnel and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics on the scene worked to free the man from the vehicle, as it is believed his leg was trapped.
