A man has been seriously injured in a vehicle rollover at Hatton Vale in the Lockyer Valley.

It happened after his ute, which was towing a trailer, and another vehicle collided on the Warrego Highway at around 4 on Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue says the helicopter crew were on the scene within just minutes of being tasked yesterday, as they were fortunately close by, flying back to base from a previous mission.

“The highway was closed as emergency services worked to free the driver who was the only occupant of the vehicle.

“Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics then transported him a short distance to the waiting helicopter.

“The patient, who is aged in his forties, was in a stable condition under the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic when he was taken to hospital”.
