A Somerset woman is now $5.2 million richer after winning Gold Lotto at the weekend.
The winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Esk News.
James from the Lott told River 949’s Marnie and Campo this morning that it’s amazing for one winner to take home $5.2 million in Saturday’s Gold Lotto as it doesn’t happen very often but when it does it changes somebody’s life.
“The Esk woman was a bit suspicious of me when I called to give her the news as some people are,” he says.
The Lott spokesperson also says she will have a good time over the next couple of days trying to process it and is really looking forward to setting up her family for the rest of their lives.
“The woman also plans to pay off the mortgage and visit her family overseas,” James says.
Meanwhile, Esk Newsagency owner Dion Wengel says the team were incredibly excited to have sold the only division one entry in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
We’re going to be shouting this news from the rooftops of Esk!” he says.
“This is the first division one winning entry we’ve sold so it”s an extremely exciting day for us.
We hope there are more to come and wish our winning customer all the best for the future!”
