Ali is a true blue, proud local girl – she was born and raised in Ipswich and was a student of Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School.
Goldie is River 949’s longest serving announcer having been at the station since it’s launch in 2001. Goldie also did a stint at FM100.3 in Armidale NSW but the cold weather took it’s toll on Goldie (just look at what it did to his hair!) Goldie has two young boys who take up much of his time when he’s not playing golf… badly.
Mike Byrne hosts the night program at River 949 and is also our Program Director. He’s the guy who manages the on air team, the promos and contest and the music… so blame him! Mike has over 20 years experience in radio working in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide both on air and off. Mike returned to his home town to help steer the good ship River 949 in 2008.
Brad handles our Sunday afternoons from 2pm-6pm playing a bunch of songs the other stations don't play!
